About the Artist:
In the Vancouver area, Merv Magus has been a prominent figure in the cartooning world for more than 20 years. His hockey cartoons of the NHL Canucks have been published since the 70's. In addition, his work has appeared in many professional game day programs: Vancouver Grizzlies NBA program, BC Lions Football, CFL Game Day program, Whitecaps Soccer, NHL Goal Magazine, Toronto Maple Leafs program, CAGE basketball newspaper.

More About the Artist:
Besides the sports cartoons, Merv's general interest cartoons have been published by many other publications: Homes and Cottages, Westworld, Sea Talk, Burnaby Now newspaper, BC Teacher and Rivtow Marine. He has also produced five hockey cartoon books that were sold nationally in canada. Currently, his "Dot Com" computer cartoon series is being used by the Electric Mail Company, <www.electric.net> in their internet university page.
Magus, a UBC graduate, has taught Graphics and Physical Education at the Senior High level during his long career. The skills of his major fields have combined in producing humorous and insightful cartoons.
His main aspiration is becoming a syndicated cartoonist drawing one of his many different cartoon ideas.
